Central in football’s top 10 for week four

PELLA — A 63-point victory didn’t hamper Central College’s position in the latest Division III football rankings.

The Dutch (8-0 overall, 6-0 American Rivers) remain No.10 in AFCA’s Division III coaches poll and No.9 in D3football.com’s Top 25 after leaking 76- 13 at Luther College last Saturday.

The top 10 is unchanged in both polls. North Central College (Illinois) continues to lead, with the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor (Texas) also receiving several first-place votes.

Central notched at least a share of a record 32nd conference title last week and could claim an outright crown on Saturday with a victory over the University of Dubuque. Match time is 1 p.m. at the Ron and Joyce Schipper Stadium in Pella.
