Gareth Bale’s transfer plan from Tottenham and Antonio Conte sends strong message to Premier League

Here’s your morning recap from Tottenham Hotspur on Tuesday, December 9.

Tottenham plan Gareth Bale’s move

There is no doubt that Gareth Bale is one of the most talented players to appear in Spurs’ white.

Eight years after his £ 85million move to Real Madrid, Spurs plan to bring the Welshman back to north London as part of a permanent deal following his recent loan spell.

Super Deporte reports that a number of clubs are considering a summer swoop when Bale becomes a free agent, but Spurs remain ahead of the game.

Antonio Conte had already tried to bring the winger to Inter Milan and he could finally make his wish come true.

Conte’s emotional message to the Premier League

Tottenham manager Antonio Conte sent an emotional appeal to the Premier League after it was revealed that eight first-team players tested positive for the coronavirus.

This leaves clashes with Rennes and Brighton in suspense

“Today another player and another member of the staff are positive. Tomorrow, who? Me? Another member of the staff? I want to talk about football,” he said at his press conference on Wednesday.

“It’s not a good thing for you, the fans and the staff.

“Everyone is a little scared, we all have families. I ask why? Why? Yesterday we trained and two positives, today we trained and after two more positives. Who next?”

Tottenham sign a talented youngster

Spurs have finalized the signing of Southend United defender Charlie Sayers with the 17-year-old joining the scholarship program after a successful trial.

Sayers played for Tottenham’s Under-18s in their last two games against Crystal Palace and Fulham, and Southend head coach Kevin Maher has said the club are never going to block the move.

“For a young boy to have the opportunity to go to Tottenham, you can’t stand in his way,” he explained.

“Tottenham are a brilliant football club and there are some very good people there that I know well. He will be very well groomed and trained and now is his turn to seize the opportunity.”
