Domingos Quina’s loan to Fulham should be cut short, athleticism understand.

The 22-year-old attacking midfielder is set to return to Watford after struggling for playing time at Craven Cottage. He joined Fulham on the last day of the summer transfer window on a one-season loan with an option to buy, but he had no impact.

Quina has made two league appearances for Fulham and only one start. He has not been on a Championship match squad since Fulham’s trip to Coventry on October 10. It is understood that meetings are scheduled between the parties to determine the best next steps for the club and the player.

Quina recently hired a new agent, from the same agency that represents Ollie Watkins and former Watford midfielder Will Hughes.

A source close to Quina said: “We’ll probably move him somewhere else where he can play the games he needs.”

Quina spent the second half of last season on loan from Spain in Granada, and on the possibility of another overseas move, a source said: “At the moment both options are valid, it’s all about of the football project. “

“Certainly” was the response of a permanent switch being a possibility.
