Who’s playing ‘Sunday Night Football’ tonight? Time, TV Channel, NFL Week 11 Game Schedule

The AFC currently has 12 teams with a record of .500 or better. This is more than unusual and it will give a dramatic (and potentially confusing) end to the season. Even at this early stage of the 18-week campaign, every game between the AFC teams involved in this traffic jam counts.

This will include “Sunday Night Football” this week. The match featured in this one pits two teams that retained the AFC’s No.5 and 7 seeds at the end of Week 10 action. That would put them in the bottom three Wild Card teams, but five , five -the winning teams breathe down their necks.

Thus, this game will be essential for both home and visiting teams as it will decide which team has the way forward for a playoff spot.

The home team are favored because they have the advantage in attack. Justin Herbert, Austin Ekeler and Keenan Allen are a solid trio on this side of the ball, and Mike Williams also contributes to that. He hasn’t been in good health, but this quartet has helped the Chargers claim victory on more than one occasion this year.

The other team is almost the opposite of the Chargers. The Steelers have a solid defense and a poor offense led by running back Najee Harris. Pittsburgh is a little beaten up from COVID-related absences and injuries, and their quarterback situation is murky. If they win, it will be because they succeed in a game. They are unlikely to be an offensive heavyweight, although Harris has an advantage against a weak defense against the Chargers’ run.

Who’s playing ‘Sunday Night Football’ tonight?

  • Match: Steelers at Chargers
  • Site: SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California.

The Steelers (5-3-1) travel to Los Angeles to face the Chargers (5-4) who will prove crucial in the AFC Wild Card race.

The Steelers haven’t lost since Week 4, but they are coming off a 16-16 draw against the Lions. Ben Roethlisberger was uncertain entering the game after testing positive for COVID last Saturday, so Mason Rudolph could once again be the team’s quarterback. He struggled against the Detroit, and the team’s offense missed most of the game.

The defense also has injured concerns. TJ Watt is exhausted and if he doesn’t play the Steelers defense could struggle a lot against Justin Herbert, who is a good quarterback who has been through a bit of a rough patch.

The Chargers are only one game away from the Chiefs in the AFC West race, but they have lost three of their last four games. Their only victory during that span was a three-point victory over the Eagles. Herbert played well at times, but untimely turnovers and the NFL’s worst defense kept the Chargers up. They are hoping to bounce back in this game, but will have to find a way to slow Najee Harris to do so.

There are several COVID issues on both sides of the ball. Roethlisberger and Minkah Fitzpatrick for the Steelers and Joey Bosa and Jerry Tillery for the Chargers. Each player’s pending status could tip the scales in this game, but the Chargers are currently favored to win.
